Last week, the newly constructed Floridian Way opened in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area. The updated roadway replaces the intersection at Seven Seas Drive and Floridian Way, which was permanently closed in July. Following these changes to traffic patterns near the original Central Florida Disney park, bus transportation to and from the Magic Kingdom Resort Area has changed.

On August 17, WDWNT reported on several updates to bus transportation to and from the Magic Kingdom Resort Area hotels. Let’s take a look at everything that has changed.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, bus transportation to Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is no longer separate. The two Deluxe Resort hotels share a bus stop (currently Gate 4), and buses departing from Disney’s Hollywood Studios stop at Disney’s Contemporary Resort before making their final stop at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

Walt Disney World Resort has also combined bus service from Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. The two Magic Kingdom Area Resorts share bus Gate 8.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa offers its own bus service from Disney’s Hollywood Studios (at Gate 6).

Previously, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort shared a bus, while Disney’s Contemporary Resort often shared a bus with Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

According to WDWNT, Disney cast members confirmed that these permanent changes make transportation to the Magic Kingdom Area Resorts more efficient now that the new Floridian Way is open. Though the outlet reported these updates from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, these combined bus routes are also in effect at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Magic Kingdom Park, and EPCOT.

Have you ever had a negative experience on bus transportation to and from Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park? Inside the Magic would love to hear from you in the comments!
