On Monday, guests walked into Adventureland at Disneyland Park to find that the area was much less accessible than before. Here’s what to know before your next Disney Parks vacation.
Adventureland Area Blocked at Disneyland Park

On August 24, guests arrived at Disneyland Paris Resort to find new construction walls blocking portions of the original Adventureland area. X (formerly known as Twitter) user @PixiedustDLP shared photos of the wooden barriers:

The brown, gray, and beige construction walls block a walkway on the Sleeping Beauty Castle side of Adventureland. A sign on one of the barriers reads, in English and in French, “This area is being refurbished for your future enjoyment.”

Aside from the sign on the construction wall, Disneyland Paris Resort did not share any details about its plans for Adventureland. The Disney parks rarely acknowledge routine refurbishment projects that do not force attraction closures or significantly impact the guest experience.
Other Construction at Disneyland Paris Resort
Across the Disneyland Paris Resort esplanade, the former Walt Disney Studios Park, now known as Disney Adventure World, is a hub of construction. Crews are currently building several new attractions for the transformed theme park, including a log flume ride inspired by The Lion King (1994) and Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings inspired by Up (2009), which is set to open in 2027.

At D23 Expo 2026, Disneyland Paris Resort also announced that Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain will permanently close in 2027, and Walt Disney Imagineers will restore the indoor roller coaster to its original steampunk theme: Space Mountain – De la Terre à la Lune. The attraction’s iconic original soundtrack will also return when it reopens.
