At 7:41 p.m. on July 14, law enforcement received a call about a “discharged weapon” at Flamingo Crossings Village, which is most famously the newest and now only Disney College Program cast member housing complex for Walt Disney World Resort. Flamingo Crossings Village debuted in 2021, replacing the former Vista Way, Chatham Square, Patterson Court, and The Commons. Although those four complexes were exclusively for Disney College Program cast members, any Walt Disney World Resort cast member has been able to apply for housing at Flamingo Crossings Village since 2023.

Nearby, Disney’s Flamingo Crossings and a well-lit, multi-story structure are visible in the background, reflecting the vibrant ambiance and offering guests a chance to live in luxury.

Shortly after law enforcement was called to Flamingo Crossings Village on Tuesday evening, scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the publicly available call log on X (formerly known as Twitter):

The Google Maps screenshot attached to the post pinpoints the location of the emergency response on a roadway near Building I-37 in the West concourse of the Flamingo Crossings Village housing complex. Police responses at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, hotels, and Disney Springs are typically logged at general addresses rather than the exact coordinates where the incident occurred–but it’s unclear whether that’s the case here.

People are engaged in various activities, such as playing chess, walking, and sitting on benches. The area is decorated with plants, and yellow seating cubes are placed around, enhancing the chance to live at Disney.

Neither the Orange County Sheriff’s Office nor Walt Disney World Resort has issued a public statement on this incident, and it’s unclear whether any cast members were involved. More information may become public if criminal charges are filed and/or a police report is prepared.
