On the evening of July 4, law enforcement responded to two reports of battery within the Magic Kingdom Park and the Disney’s Contemporary Resort area within less than an hour. Here’s what we know about the violent incidents at the Most Magical Place on Earth on Independence Day 2026.

At 8:46 p.m. on July 4, law enforcement received a call about an incident of “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” within the Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Contemporary Resort area at Walt Disney World Resort. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the public emergency call log on X (formerly known as Twitter):

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 7/4/26 8:46 PM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Magic Kingdom / Contemporary Resort Area

It’s unclear whether the incident occurred inside Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, or the walkway between the two. The Google Maps screenshot attached to the X post pinpoints the generalized coordinates that law enforcement uses to track emergency responses in the Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Contemporary Resort area, not the actual location of the battery incident on Saturday evening.

Less than an hour later, at 9:34 p.m., the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received another call about an incident of “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” within the same area at Walt Disney World Resort. Once again, @WDWActiveCrime shared the public scanner report on X:

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 7/4/26 9:34 PM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Magic Kingdom / Contemporary Resort Area

Once again, based on the information currently available to the public, it’s impossible to determine exactly where the second battery incident occurred.

More information about those involved in the battery incidents on July 4 may become available if criminal charges are filed and/or a police report is prepared. At this time, neither Walt Disney World Resort nor the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has commented publicly on either law enforcement response.

At this time, there are no operational delays or impacts at Magic Kingdom Park or Disney’s Contemporary Resort following the string of violent incidents on Saturday evening.
