Credit: DisneySince June 23, 2024, when the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade closed at Magic Kingdom Park, Disneyland Resort has been the only Disney park in the United States with a functional shooting gallery attraction. Unfortunately, as of July 6, 2026, that is no longer the case, as the Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition has closed for refurbishment at Disneyland Park. The King Arthur Carrousel also closed for refurbishment on Monday.
Two Disneyland Park Attractions Closed For Refurbishment on July 6
Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition in Frontierland
As of July 6, 2026, the Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition is now closed for refurbishment at Disneyland Park. The official theme park calendar currently lists operating hours through August 17, 2026, and there are none listed for the interactive Frontierland attraction through that date.
Disneyland Resort encourages guests to “check back” on the official attraction webpage for updates. The Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition is already surrounded by construction walls, and signs on the plywood barriers inform Southern California Disney Park guests of the closure.
King Arthur Carrousel in Fantasyland
The King Arthur Carrousel also closed for refurbishment on July 6, and WDW News Today shared a photo of the iconic Fantasyland attraction already surrounded by construction walls. Disneyland Resort has decorated the construction walls with royalty-themed pennants in the area behind the Sword in the Stone, enhancing the photo-op experience for guests as the refurbishment work continues.

Disneyland Resort’s website says the Fantasyland attraction will reopen on Friday, July 17. However, that could change as the refurbishment progresses.
