Over the weekend, a limited-edition release of the Disney Lorcana trading card game caused international chaos. Sprawling lines took over Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort and the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort. The Disney Store on Oxford Street in London canceled its event after a group of violent shoppers caused chaos shortly after 6:00 a.m. Now, footage from Disneyland Paris Resort shows a group of men storming the gates, pushing over barricades, and shoving past families waiting in line for the exclusive trading cards.
Lorcana Madness at Disneyland Paris Resort

On July 18, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @JosemaVallejo shared this video of a group of men running, jumping, and shoving past hundreds of people waiting in line for the Disney Lorcana “Attack of the Vine!” set in Disney Village at Disneyland Paris Resort. The men ran past Disney cast members trying to guide guests through the queue and into the merchandise location selling the trading card set.

In the replies, many Disney Parks fans accused the men of being resellers, not fans interested in the Disney Lorcana trading card game. However, it’s impossible to confirm these accusations. It’s also unclear whether Disneyland Paris Resort imposed any consequences on these guests.

So far, Disneyland Paris Resort has not issued a statement on the chaos surrounding this limited-edition merchandise release on July 18. Unlike the event at the Disney Store on Oxford Street in London, the Disney Lorcana “Attack of the Vine!” set release at the Disney Village shopping & dining district went on as planned, despite the chaos on the video.
