New construction walls have appeared around Sleeping Beauty Castle as the bridge refurbishment project continues at Disneyland Paris Resort. Let’s take a look at the latest update on the restoration project that began at Disneyland Park this spring.
Sleeping Beauty Castle Refurbishment

In early May, construction walls appeared around the bridge to Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park. Disneyland Paris Resort announced that it had begun a refurbishment project on the bridge to the theme park icon and that it wouldn’t wrap up until late September 2026. Guests can still access the Sleeping Beauty Castle walkthrough and “La Tanière du Dragon” (The Lair of the Dragon) via alternate entrances.
The bridge to Sleeping Beauty Castle is currently surrounded by construction walls wrapped in decorative scrim to reduce the visual impact of the work on family vacation photos. Construction walls have also appeared around several areas in the Central Plaza for pavement replacement and other refurbishment projects.
Latest Construction Update at Disneyland Paris

On Sunday, more construction walls appeared at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland Paris Resort. This time, the barriers surround the stage in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. X (formerly known as Twitter) user @PixiedustDLP shared this photo of the purple-and-blue walls:

It’s unclear whether these walls are related to the bridge refurbishment directly or whether Disneyland Paris Resort is simply working simultaneously on another restoration project in the Central Plaza area.

The same Disney Park guest also shared this update on the bridge refurbishment:
