On June 22, WDWNT reported that Walt Disney World Resort had added additional decorations to some of the already-patriotic window displays along Main Street, U.S.A, at Magic Kingdom Park. The outlet shared this photo of the red, white, and blue displays featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse on social media:

These windows, located on the facade of The Emporium merchandise location, were decorated for July 4 earlier this month. This week, though, Walt Disney World Resort added golden “Disney Celebrates America” decals to the glass, sitting underneath the figures of Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

“Disney Celebrates America” is The Walt Disney Company’s nationwide celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. ABC will air the two-hour Disney Celebrates America: The Pursuit of Happiness special on June 29; it will feature footage of 20/20 co-anchor Deborah Roberts at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and national correspondent Will Reeve at Disneyland Resort in California. From July 3 through July 4, Disney will broadcast 24 hours of programming about the history of the United States on multiple platforms.

Magic Kingdom Park will offer a special fireworks show, “Disney’s Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky,” on July 3, 4, and 5. EPCOT will present a special “Heartbeat of Freedom” show after the Luminous The Symphony of Us nighttime spectacular on the same dates.
