Emergency responders are on the scene of a reported fire at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, a Moderate Walt Disney World Resort hotel in the EPCOT Resort area. Here’s what Central Florida Disney Park guests need to know.

At 6:42 p.m. on June 29, local authorities received a 911 call about a fire on the grounds of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the police scanner report on X (formerly known as Twitter):

The Google Maps screenshot attached to the X post does not necessarily indicate where the fire occurred; law enforcement responses at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and hotels are often logged at general addresses for each location on-property rather than the exact area where an incident occurred.

Walt Disney World Resort has not commented publicly on this incident and is unlikely to do so unless the damage is significant enough to affect guest-facing operations at the Moderate Disney Resort hotel. As of right now, hotel facilities and transportation appear to be operating normally, though the Disney Skyliner may have paused earlier due to unrelated inclement weather in the area.

What Walt Disney World Guests Need To Know

As of right now, guests staying at or visiting Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort shouldn’t expect any disruptions to their Walt Disney World Resort vacation. According to the My Disney Experience app, all guest amenities, transportation, and dining locations at the EPCOT Resort area hotel are operating normally.

Of course, Disney Park guests who encounter emergency situations are encouraged to avoid affected areas and to follow all instructions from authorities and cast members on the scene. When necessary, Walt Disney World Resort works to minimize disruptions to families’ vacations and to respect the privacy of anyone directly involved in a law enforcement response.
