A Walt Disney World Resort guest recently shared a video of a mid-show evacuation of Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Here’s everything we know about the incident.
Mid-Show Evacuation at Walt Disney World Resort

On June 13, Instagram user @smooremagic shared a video taken during the Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever Show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Walt Disney World Resort guests were in the middle of watching the performance when, suddenly, the curtain dropped, and a voiceover announced that they needed to evacuate the theater.
At the end of Cruella’s performance, the curtains suddenly dropped! Has this ever happened to you?

“Your attention, please. Due to unforeseen circumstances, this performance of Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After must be canceled,” a pre-recorded message announced over the loudspeakers. “Please gather your belongings and exit the theater safely.”
Disney cast members didn’t tell guests why the show had to be canceled, but the Instagram user speculated that the issue was with Cruella de Vil’s microphone.

“Never found out why!” the Disney Park guest commented. “I suspect there was an issue with mics because Cruella was kind of hard to hear but her segment was over when this happened so.”
Walt Disney World Resort did not issue a public statement about the evacuation of Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, which isn’t unusual. The Central Florida Disney park rarely comments on temporary ride or show closures.

At the time of this article’s publication, Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After was operating on its normal performance schedule.
