Walt Disney World has been steadily expanding its Good to Go Days calendar throughout 2026, and the latest update pushes those reservation-free dates into July for Annual Passholders. Three new dates have been added: June 30, July 8, and July 9. Combined with the June dates added earlier this week, the Good to Go Days calendar now extends from late June into the second week of July, giving Passholders more flexibility heading into what is typically one of the busiest periods at the resort.

The addition is meaningful because summer is historically when Annual Passholders face the most restrictions. Peak season crowd levels tend to push up dynamic pricing and tighten availability, which can make visiting feel less accessible for guests who hold passes at lower tiers. Good to Go Days cut through that by removing the reservation requirement entirely on qualifying dates, letting Passholders show up and walk in without holding a park reservation, as long as they are not in a blockout window, and the park has not hit capacity, a requirement added in during the pandemic and the COVID-19 reign.
At the same time, a separate update to the Extended Evening Hours schedule has emerged that is worth knowing about for guests staying at eligible Disney resort hotels. Animal Kingdom is stepping into the Extended Evening Hours rotation for two Wednesday nights in late August and early September, filling a slot that Magic Kingdom typically holds during that period.
Good to Go Days: What They Are and How They Work

Good to Go Days are specific dates on which Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can visit a theme park without a park reservation. On any other date, Passholders need to secure a reservation in advance just like other guests. Good to Go Days remove that step.
There are still limits. Passholder blockout dates apply regardless of whether a date is designated as Good to Go. If your pass tier includes a blackout on a particular date, a Good to Go designation does not override it. Capacity limitations also remain in place, so if a park reaches its capacity ceiling, access may be restricted even on a Good to Go Day.
One operational detail worth knowing: if you already have a theme park reservation for a date that becomes a Good to Go Day, Disney will automatically remove it. You can still find it in the My Plans section of the My Disney Experience app, but it will not count against your reservation hold limit.
The full 2026 Good to Go Days calendar so far includes dates across January, February, March, April, June, and now July. The upcoming dates that have not yet passed are June 25, 28, 29, and 30, along with July 8 and 9.
There is also a separate reservation-free window available to all guests, not just Passholders, after 2 PM on most days. The exception is Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom, where the afternoon walk-in exemption does not apply. On any other day at any park, arriving after 2 PM allows entry without a prior reservation as long as you have valid admission.
Extended Evening Hours: Animal Kingdom Replaces Magic Kingdom in Late August

Extended Evening Hours is a perk for guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, and select partner hotels including the Walt Disney World Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve, and Shades of Green. It provides access to a designated park for a set window after regular operating hours, with shorter queues and a quieter experience than standard park hours typically offer.
Magic Kingdom has held the Wednesday Extended Evening Hours slot throughout the summer, with EPCOT running its own Monday evenings through that same period. But for August 26 and September 2, Animal Kingdom is taking over the Wednesday slot from Magic Kingdom.
The timing reflects a pattern that has appeared in previous years. As Magic Kingdom moves into its fall party season, specifically Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the combination of party nights and extended regular operating hours makes the Extended Evening Hours slot increasingly difficult to accommodate there. Animal Kingdom has filled that gap before and is doing so again for these two dates.
There is one key difference in the Animal Kingdom Extended Evening Hours that guests should know before building their plans around it. Magic Kingdom’s Extended Evening Hours typically run late into the night, from 10 PM to midnight or 11 PM to 1 AM depending on the date. Animal Kingdom’s windows on August 26 and September 2 run from 6 PM to 8 PM, with the park’s regular hours ending at 6 PM on those dates. That is a significantly earlier and shorter window than the Magic Kingdom evenings.
Four attractions are scheduled to operate during Animal Kingdom’s Extended Evening Hours: Avatar Flight of Passage, Expedition Everest, Na’vi River Journey, and Zootopia: Better Zoogether. Select food, beverage, and merchandise locations will also be available.
The full Extended Evening Hours schedule through September 2 is as follows. Magic Kingdom runs Wednesdays from late June through August 19, with hours ranging from 10 PM to midnight or 11 PM to 1 AM depending on the date. EPCOT runs Mondays from June 29 through August 31, from 9 PM to 11 PM. Animal Kingdom takes the final two Wednesdays, August 26 and September 2, from 6 PM to 8 PM.
How This Affects a Disney World Vacation

For Annual Passholders planning visits in late June and early July, the expanded Good to Go Days calendar makes this a particularly favorable window to visit without needing to manage advance reservations. July 8 and 9 in particular are worth noting as newly confirmed reservation-free dates that fall within what is typically a peak summer week.
The combination of Good to Go Days and the after-2-PM walk-in window gives Passholders more spontaneous access to the parks than the reservation system might suggest at first glance. A Passholder who can be flexible about timing within a day has real options for park access even outside of official Good to Go dates.
For guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts or eligible partner hotels with Animal Kingdom visits planned in late August, the Extended Evening Hours dates are worth incorporating into your park day structure. A full day at Animal Kingdom capped with Extended Evening Hours access to Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest with reduced crowds is a meaningful bonus for guests who qualify.
