Just days after Disney blocked the bridge to Sleeping Beauty Castle, a themed scrim now decorates the construction walls surrounding the Disneyland Park icon. Here’s what anyone planning a Disney Park vacation should know.
Construction at Disneyland Park

In early May, Disneyland Paris Resort surrounded the bridge to Sleeping Beauty Castle with white plywood construction walls. The European Disney park confirmed plans to refurbish the bridge throughout 2026, with construction wrapping up in late September.
Although the Disneyland Park skyline will be a little less glamorous than normal, the operations inside Sleeping Beauty Castle will remain open. The castle walkthrough and La Tanière du Dragon (The Lair of the Dragon) are accessible via different entrances.
This is just one of many ongoing construction projects at Disneyland Park (Paris). Not far away, plywood walls recently surrounded a section of pavement near a popcorn cart on Main Street, U.S.A., for an unknown reason. Closer to the park entrance, crews are wrapping up the final phases of the Town Square Gazebo refurbishment, which began in November 2025.

The Plaza Gardens restaurant on Main Street, U.S.A., is closed through early 2027 for a major reimagining. Due to this construction, the Baby Care Center and First Aid station have been relocated to the former Annual Passholder office and a temporary building in Discoveryland, respectively.
Replacement for Sleeping Beauty Castle

Instead of the white construction walls that surrounded Sleeping Beauty Castle in the early days of the refurbishment, Disneyland Paris Resort has installed themed scrim to attempt to make guests’ photos with the Disneyland Park icon look a bit more magical. These walls will likely remain in place until the Sleeping Beauty Castle bridge refurbishment wraps up in late September. However, Disneyland Paris Resort says the castle walkthrough and La Tanière du Dragon will remain open throughout the entire construction period.
