Walt Disney World Resort has raised prices at one of its most expensive restaurants…but only for children. Here’s what’s changing at the California Grill, a Table-Service dining location at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

On May 7, Walt Disney World Resort confirmed that it was raising menu prices at California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Beginning June 2, 2026, the children’s prix-fixe course will cost $42. It currently costs $39, making this a $3 increase, or just under an 8% increase.

The prix-fixe kids’ course at California Grill includes one of four entrées (Grilled Steak, Seared Salmon, House-made Shells & Cheese, and Grilled Citrus-Glazed Chicken), two of four side selections (Roasted Yukon Gold Potatoes, Goat Cheese Polenta, Steamed Green Beans, and Brown Basmati Rice), and one of three desserts (Fresh Fruit, PB&J Mousse, and the Cookies & Cream Ice Cream Sandwich). Kids’ appetizers, including Hearts of Romaine and Chicken Noodle Soup, are priced à la carte.

At Walt Disney World Resort Table-Service restaurants with fixed costs, only children aged nine and younger can order from the kids’ menu. Guests aged ten and older are considered adults, while guests aged three and younger eat for free or off their parents’ plates. Anyone can order kids’ menu items at Quick-Service restaurants and some à la carte Table-Service experiences.

Surprisingly, Walt Disney World Resort chose not to raise the price of the adult prix-fixe course at California Grill. The adult menu option will remain at $99 when the kids’ course price increase takes effect on June 2.

California Grill is one of the most luxurious Table-Service dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort. The restaurant often books out 60 days in advance, especially in the evenings when the Magic Kingdom Park fireworks are visible from the windows.

What do you think about these price increases at the California Grill? Inside the Magic would love to hear from you in the comments!
