On April 23, Walt Disney World Resort guests arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to find a noticeable refresh at the theme park entrance. Here’s what families need to know before their next trip to the Central Florida Disney destination.
Entrance Update at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

On Thursday, WDWNT reported that the pavement in front of and around the ticket booths at Disney’s Hollywood Studios had been repainted a dark gray. The unpainted ground is noticeably lighter, worn by daily traffic and the unrelenting Central Florida sun and rain. The outlet shared this photo of the refreshed Disney Park entrance on Facebook:
The entire area around the ticket booths has been repainted, but the pavement around the theme park entrance “tapstyles” and the walkway approaching the ticket booth remain faded gray. Disney cast members will likely repaint the worn areas over the coming days and weeks, though this hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Walt Disney World Resort has not publicly acknowledged this construction project, which isn’t unusual for minor maintenance work at its theme parks.
What Do Disney World Guests Need to Know?
As of right now, the pavement repainting hasn’t impacted the guest experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Work appears to have been completed overnight, and Walt Disney World Resort guests are already permitted to walk in the area.

The worst possible outcome for Disney Park guests is that new paint fails to dry overnight, at which point Disney cast members will block the affected pavement with poles connected by stanchions. However, the main entrance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios would remain open in that case, and guests would simply have to step around the barricaded area.
Guests who encounter construction at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and hotels are encouraged to follow all written and verbal instructions and avoid blocked-off areas. Disney does its best to minimize construction-related impacts on its guests while keeping everyone safe.
