An iconic Main Street, U.S.A., location at Disneyland Park is now closed and barricaded, preventing Disney Park guests from accessing the area. The shutdown is expected to continue into 2027, though Disney hasn’t confirmed an exact reopening date.
Main Street, U.S.A., Looks Different at Disneyland Park

On Tuesday, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @DLPReport shared side-by-side photos showing the current state of Plaza Gardens Restaurant at Disneyland Park (Paris) and concept art of its future appearance. The Table-Service dining location closed on March 31, 2026, and construction walls now surround its footprint on Main Street, U.S.A.
🔧 Walls are now up at Plaza Gardens Restaurant, closed for a lengthy refurbishment into 2027 that will include roof work, facade repainting with a new color scheme and a refit of the dining room from the buffet to carpeting, tiles and chairs.

Walt Disney Imagineers are reportedly installing new furniture, carpeting, tiles, and more inside the Plaza Gardens Restaurant, all complementing a new color scheme for the Table-Service dining location on Main Street, U.S.A.

Disneyland Paris Resort has said the Disneyland Park restaurant will remain closed through sometime in 2027, but hasn’t shared an exact reopening date.
Construction at Disneyland Park (Paris)
This is just one piece of a larger construction project on Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland Park (Paris). As Inside the Magic previously reported, temporary walls now surround part of Sleeping Beauty Castle as Walt Disney Imagineers refurbish the bridge portion of the structure.

The project is expected to continue through the fall, as the special effects in the Disney Tales of Magic entertainment offering will be “modified” from May 6 through the end of September 2026. It’s unclear if Disneyland Paris Resort plans to refurbish more of Sleeping Beauty Castle than just the bridge.
Across the esplanade, Walt Disney Studios Park recently reopened as Disney Adventure World, complete with the World of Frozen, the Disney Cascade of Lights nighttime spectacular, Raiponce Tangled Spin, and more. Construction continues on a Lion King (1994) log flume ride and an Up (2009) flying carousel called Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings. The latter is scheduled to open in 2027.
