Disney Characters Behind a Paywall?
On Thursday, Walt Disney World Resort teased some of the exclusive fun for Annual Passholders as part of the returning V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days event this year. One of the special offerings is a character meet-and-greet at the Magic Eye Theatre in the Imagination! Pavilion.
Walt Disney World Resort said that guests who can prove ownership of an Annual Pass (any type) can meet “some of Mickey Mouse’s best pals” at the Magic Eye Theater between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. from May 1 through July 31, 2026. As of now, this meet-and-greet is expected to be offered daily, but certain Annual Passholders may be blocked from EPCOT on select dates.
The character meet-and-greet space at the Magic Eye Theatre is located on the right as soon as guests enter the building, right before the queue for the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival. The doorway is immediately to the left of the entrance to the Journey Into Imagination With Figment attraction.
Typically, “Mickey Mouse’s best pals” refers to characters like Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, Donald Duck, and Daisy Duck, but Walt Disney World Resort didn’t clarify which characters would be included in the meet-and-greet. It seems like Mickey Mouse has intentionally been excluded from this V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days 2026 offering at EPCOT, but Disney hasn’t confirmed that.
