Halloween Horror Nights 35 single-night tickets are not available for August and September. This is likely due to a technical error, not a sell-out. After the exciting Halloween Horror Nights news over the weekend, eager fans trying to buy tickets found that availability for these months had disappeared from Universal’s ticketing system. Tickets went on sale early Thursday morning, March 26, causing a lot of excitement among fans eager to attend Universal Orlando Resort’s top Halloween event. However, by 9 a.m., there were no single-night tickets listed for August and September, leading to confusion and frustration among potential attendees.

It’s unlikely all these dates sold out so quickly, and Universal has a history of ticketing glitches. So, this is probably an error, and tickets will be available again soon, although the timing is unfortunate given the buzz around the announcement that Halloween Horror Nights will return to Universal Studios Florida on its earliest start date ever, August 28, 2026, one day earlier than last year.

Tickets and tours for Halloween Horror Nights 35 are now on sale at the Universal Orlando Resort. This year, there is a new ticket add-on, and the event dates have finally been announced after much anticipation from Halloween Horror Nights fans. Single-night tickets start at $88, which is about $6 more than last year. This price increase reflects the growing popularity of the event and Universal’s commitment to creating more elaborate haunted houses and scare zones.

  • November 1

The August 28 start date marks Halloween Horror Nights’ earliest start ever, giving fans additional opportunities to experience the event before the peak October crowds arrive, though these early August and September dates are currently experiencing ticketing availability issues.

The Technical Error

Tickets and tours went on sale early Thursday morning, March 26, with fans eager to secure their preferred dates immediately accessing Universal’s ticketing website. By 9 a.m., however, confusion spread as no single-night availability was listed for August and September, despite these representing nearly half of the event’s total dates. It is unlikely all of these dates sold out so quickly, given that it would represent unprecedented demand even for Halloween Horror Nights, which is one of Universal’s most popular seasonal events, and Universal has a reputation for glitchy ticket releases with previous years seeing similar technical issues during initial on-sale periods.

This seems to be a technical error on Universal’s part rather than a genuine sell-out situation, with the expectation being that tickets will be available again soon once Universal identifies and resolves whatever backend issue is preventing August and September dates from appearing in the ticketing system. The timing is particularly unfortunate given the excitement surrounding this year’s announcements and the anticipation that has been building.

The New Scream Early Ticket Add-On

New this year, Universal is offering the Scream Early Ticket Add-On, which allows guests to add Universal Studios Florida admission after 2:00 p.m. to their same-day Halloween Horror Nights event ticket and start the screams early. Guests will get early access to at least three haunted houses starting at 2:00 p.m., plus time to enjoy other attractions through regular scheduled daytime closing, with pricing starting at $70 per person, creating an option for guests who want to maximize their Halloween Horror Nights experience by accessing select haunted houses before the official event start time.

This represents a significant new offering that addresses fan requests for earlier access to haunted houses before evening crowds build, though guests attempting to add this option to August or September tickets are currently encountering the same availability issues affecting standard single-night tickets.

Premium Scream Night Returns to Halloween Horror Nights

Premium Scream Night is returning on August 27 or October 19 with tickets including access to haunted houses with shorter wait times, all-you-care-to-enjoy select food and non-alcoholic beverages, and free self-parking. Tickets start at $400 per person and offer a premium-tier experience for guests willing to pay a significant premium for enhanced access and amenities.

Express Pass Add-On Pricing

Express Passes allow Halloween Horror Nights attendees to utilize a dedicated line and avoid the standby queue, with these being available starting at $169.99 per person, which is an increase of $30 compared to last year, and are priced by date, with higher-demand dates commanding higher Express Pass prices. Express Passes do not guarantee “front of the line access” but a shorter wait instead, with guests typically expecting to wait just half of the posted stand-by wait time, while single-night Express Passes can be used once per haunted house and attraction with a Team Member scanning passes at each offering entrance.

Tours and Special Halloween Horror Nights Experiences

Unmasking the Horror Tour allows guests to choose a three- or six-hour haunted house lights-on tour on select dates and times starting August 21, with access to exclusive photography, an exclusive commemorative pin, and a buffet-style lunch. Theme park and event admission are not included or required to participate in this tour, with tickets starting at $100 per person.

R.I.P. Tours, which are also known as VIP Tours, are a way to gain direct access to all haunted houses and shows led by a tour guide with pricing starting at $400 per person. These tours include priority VIP entry to haunted houses and participating park attractions once per house based on itinerary while on tour with the R.I.P. Guide, commemorative R.I.P. Tour credential, lanyard, and pin, complimentary Valet Parking, pre-tour reception in Cafe La Bamba, and Universal Express Unlimited ride access with R.I.P. credential at all participating rides and attractions for the date of their tour excluding Halloween Horror Nights haunted houses.

Jack The Clown and Dr. Oddfellow Return to Halloween Horror Nights

The fan-favorite original characters Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow will be returning to “wreak havoc together” at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort, creating excitement among longtime fans who have followed them through multiple years of the event. Some event merchandise is already available online, allowing fans to purchase Halloween Horror Nights 35 items even before the event begins.

After all the fun Halloween Horror Nights news that came out this weekend, announcing dates, pricing, new add-ons, and character returns, we have some disappointing news that single-night tickets are currently unavailable for August and September, appearing to be a technical error on Universal’s part that will hopefully be resolved soon.
