Walt must be rolling in his grave!!! His dream has been taken over by corporate greed, it’s a disgrace! I returned home today from a stay there & everything has enormous extra costs to it. The food prices are astronomical despite all of it being mediocre. I like many guests staying on property ordered groceries from Instacart, ordered real food via Grubhub & DoorDash. Been there at least 15 times over the yrs & can honestly/vehemently say never again. SHAME ON DISNEY!!!
We are nothing but a money source for them. When will the Disney family force a takeover and put things back to the way it used to be? A FAMILY destination, not a corporate one?!?
I’m tired of being pushed away. Disney is so greedy, i do have plans to be at MK on the 13th and we’re visiting from SC WERE NOT LIVAL. We can’t just go anytime we want. Jingle $ in front of DISNEY and the little guy gets the shaft. Well this little guy and family have spent close to a 1/4 of a millions dollars in our lifetime on annual family vacation only to find our grown children can’t afford to bring their own kids. These private events can show up anything and our only option is “go do something else, sorry”. Disposable, that’s what we are to them. Even those of us who have stayed loyal through closures and doing away with favs, non stop festivals and overpriced parties now getting banned so corporations can have fun. I’m seriously thinking of just cancelling. I was about to make our dining reservations for this trip in a few days. What’s the point it could’ve kicked to the curb at anytime. Disney you’ve broken my heart I’m not going to feed your beast anymore. Enjoy your money!!!!
This has been done for decades. Universal also participates. Many over 30 years ago I was invited to one of these events by an employee of a company that offered this event. Not all rides and restaurants were open and it was done on a night the park closed early anyway.
This has been done FOREVER! And other Parks do it too. I was at MK and it closed early because Michael Jackson (allegedly) had rented it out. Stop getting your panties in a twist this has gone on for DECADES. And those who are screaming corporate greed or whatever – you’re just jealous and covetous of what others have. We live in the most prosperous amazing time and country and all we can do is rage about first world (perceived) problems!
wow, exaggerate much? it’s one night out of a whole month. If I was there for a week I would simply plan my Disney visit for the day before or after this event. Also May 13th is a slow point in between Easter vacation time and Memorial Day weekend which are far busier weeks. Many companies do this sort of thing, not just SAP.
Those who have purchased tickets for that day should be charged below a 50% discount off! You cannot do Magic Kingdom in 8 hrs. Not with the crowds that are there for the holiday week. They want the greedy big bucks then have these parties at 9pm when the park closes. Families save for these trips, and Disney needs to put them first! That’s why I love Universal.

This is the day to go. You will miss the fireworks but you might get to ride every ride twice.
