The last thing you’d expect at the Most Magical Place on Earth: A woman was arrested after pouring coffee on the head of a stranger in a wheelchair on the Magic Kingdom ferry, according to documents made public by local law enforcement. Here’s everything we know about the incident at Walt Disney World Resort.
Arrest on the Magic Kingdom Ferry
According to a police report, 34-year-old Amanda Pinheiro Muir was arrested on February 28, 2026, after dumping iced coffee on the head of another guest on the Magic Kingdom ferry. The guests were on board a ferry headed to Magic Kingdom Park from the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) at around 1:00 p.m.

The victim, identified as Linda, told deputies that she and her husband, James, were seated on a bench waiting for others to disembark the ferry when Pinehiro Muri walked by. Linda, who uses a wheelchair, wanted to wait until the crowds had dispersed before exiting the ferry. She reportedly warned passing guests to watch her feet as they walked by and asked her husband to help prevent anyone from stepping on them.
“I could just punch you in the face,” Pinehiro Muri reportedly responded.
Linda said she “laughed off” the comment. Pinehiro Muri then “threw her iced coffee directly into Linda’s face and onto her body.” A Disney cast member said security footage showed Pinehiro Muri throwing the drink at the victim, who asked for a security and law enforcement response.

When interviewed by deputies at the Magic Kingdom security office, Pinehiro Muri admitted to throwing the drink on Linda, who she claimed “was saying mean things about her son on the ferry.”
Pinehiro Muri was handcuffed and taken to jail, where she was charged with Battery on a Person 65 Years of Age or Older. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office eventually released this mugshot:
