An EPCOT World Showcase location has been closed since January 12, 2026, with no word from Walt Disney World Resort on when it will reopen. Construction walls surround the area, blocking guests from entering or seeing the work in progress.
EPCOT World Showcase Closure
Refreshment Port, a Quick-Service dining location near the Canada Pavilion in the EPCOT World Showcase, has been closed since January 12. The walk-up restaurant typically serves speciality poutines, fountain beverages, and soft-serve ice cream, including the iconic DOLE Whip.

The Quick-Service dining location remained closed throughout the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts and failed to open when the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival began on March 4. It typically offers seasonal soft-serve flavors or poutine themed to the park’s annual festival events, so it’s been a loss for Walt Disney World Resort guests attending the events.
As of March 11, beige construction walls surround the entire Refreshment Port building. According to WDWNT, they reach from around Swirled Showcase, across the Refreshment Port entrance, and nearly all the way to the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival booth in the Canada World Showcase Pavilion. The outlet shared this photo on Facebook:
There is no sign of work on the exterior of Refreshment Port, at least from what’s visible above construction walls. It’s possible the project focuses on the kitchen and other interior areas of the Quick-Service dining location.

Walt Disney World Resort has not announced a reopening date for Refreshment Port. The official website‘s refurbishment calendar currently runs through May 9, and hours for the Quick-Service dining location are not posted through that date. Disney encourages guests to “please check back for updates.”
The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival runs through June 1, and Walt Disney World Resort has not released a speciality festival menu for Refreshment Port. The walk-up restaurant may remain closed throughout the entire festival.
