Obviously these riders had NO Self Control which is scary in itself. No telling what they are capable of. Who are their parents? Why weren’t they taught paitence and self control. They are just rule breakers and should be watched. Not fair to the rest of Disney patrons who go there and follow the rules as given.
Personally any time a Disney park guests exits the ride when they’re not allowed to should be banned from going on Disney rides or universal rides or any other park ride. It’s dangerous for the disobedient selfish guest who could get hurt and ruins the fun ride experience for others on the ride and puts the ride at the risk of the person who could choose vandalism on the ride. I will always obey the ride rules and not get off until the ride comes to a complete stop unless it’s an emergency. There should be a ride ban penalty for guests who rebel and exit in the middle of the ride.

This is a lie, the ride was not shutdown for a few second it was shut down for 25+ minutes, I was there and we had a reservation for dinner at the Castle and we did not get out the ride till after we missed our prepaid reservation

As someone who recently visited the parks, I don’t blame them at all. Our family got stuck on two broken rides (the second we lost 2 hours) and lost our lunch reservation. Considering how valuable time is now at the parks and how long and dirty the lines are, I don’t blame them for taking waiting matters into their own hands. (Specially if it was during a parade, the article didn’t specify). Disney is WAAAAAAAAY overpriced for broken rides, trashy lines and stressful days

Speaking as someone who suffers from anxiety and claustrophobia, I can understand why these guests might have felt the need to leave the ride. It sounds like they did so in a safe manner, using the proper route to the emergency exit. I really don’t have a problem with their behavior, but am taken aback at the prevailung ultra pro-authoritarian attitude of the comments section. What a bunch of sheeple!

Was trapped inside the Carousel of Progress at Epcot recently. Ride was stuck and kept replaying without advancing. Staff were frantically announcing for guests to remain in their seats. Opening the exit door before ride was finished just caused it to replay the same scene. It was hysterically funny like a bad school field trip as we were not allowed out of our seats. I did however “follow the rules” and wait until dismissed. Makes for a very funny story.
