I thought there were 4 central movies? Rogues One should surely be there seeing as it’s the best Star Wars movie and ends at the beginning of A New Hope.
Certainly every Star Wars fan knows that on April 10, 1981 re-release was titled Episode IV A New Hope. So the original trilogy did have numbers way before Phantom Menace.
I mean sure if you’re aiming to make Star Wars as a franchise even more irrelevant than it already is – by all means move the deck chairs around on the Titanic. It’s actually called the Original Trilogy because it’s the first set of Star Wars films ever made. It’s a cultural reference.

The author has already retconned ‘The Centre Trilogy ‘ by referring to their current film titles.
When initially released, these films were titled:
Star wars
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi.
It was only with the release of Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace that the original trilogy were given numbers.

Guess you weren’t there in the late 70s/early 89s to know you’re talking nonsense…

Disney should not be allowed to influence pop culture at all. They destroy everything they touch.

Disney are a bunch of retards

I do not care. It can and never will be this, as there are only seven movies.

Since Disney owns the franchise I wonder if they will ever release the original theatrical version of the original three films? Like to see that.

Disney have already destroyed the Skywalker Saga.
Let it rest in peace.
