A recent social media post appears to show two people climbing, swinging, and lying on the Cheetah Hunt roller coaster track at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Here’s what we know about the actions shown in the video.
Cheetah Hunt Roller Coaster Refurbishment

Busch Gardens proudly touts Cheetah Hunt as the longest roller coaster in Tampa Bay at 4,400 feet. Inspired by the world’s fastest land animal, the green-and-yellow steel coaster reaches 60 mph and features a high-thrill 130-foot drop.
According to several social media posts from Central Florida theme park guests, the Cheetah Hunt roller coaster was closed for a refurbishment from late October 2025 until early February 2026. But just days before the attraction reopened, an unusual video appeared of alleged Busch Gardens Tampa Bay employees exhibiting poor safety standards on the elevated tracks.
Strange Video From Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

On February 9, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @saxontracks shared a short video of two alleged theme park employees climbing, swinging, and lying on the Cheetah Hunt tracks toward the end of the roller coaster’s refurbishment period. Neither appeared to be wearing a harness or appropriate head protection. The Central Florida theme park guest jokingly asked how to call OSHA (the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
What in the name of OSHA is happening here @BuschGardens?

In a follow-up post, @saxontracks confirmed that the footage was filmed before the Cheetah Hunt attraction reopened to the public:

Despite being directly tagged in the X post, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay did not respond publicly to the video. Nevertheless, social media users didn’t shy away from sharing their thoughts on the Central Florida theme park in response. @kacklingkraken wrote:
Busch Gardens is gonna get someone killed lol. Either guest or worker. Them and Hershey Park seem sketchy af to me when it comes to ride safety and maintenance. I do not trust those parks and will not visit them 😂
