On Tuesday, X (formerly known as Twitter) account @WDWActiveCrime, which monitors and publishes police scanner activity across Walt Disney World Resort, reported that law enforcement had responded to a “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” incident at EPCOT. The response occurred at around 3:49 p.m. EST.

The scanner report provided little information about the incident, aside from the approximate time and location within Walt Disney World Resort. Although the attached Google Maps screenshot pinpoints the law enforcement response to a specific spot in the center of EPCOT, near Spaceship Earth, this is standard practice for publicly available call logs at the Central Florida Disney parks. It does not represent the exact location of the altercation on Tuesday afternoon.

Walt Disney World Resort has not made any public statements about the incident at EPCOT on Tuesday, February 10. All attractions, restaurants, merchandise locations, and other offerings within the theme park seem to be operating normally. Anyone confirmed to have been involved in a violent incident at the park was likely given a trespass warning and banned from the Central Florida Disney Resort properties for the foreseeable future (or forever).

Walt Disney World Resort security partners with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department to discreetly handle any criminal incidents or disturbances on its property with as little impact on other guests as possible. Anyone who encounters a law enforcement or security response during their Disney Park vacation should follow all verbal and written instructions and avoid cordoned-off areas.
