“In the case of The Acolyte, fan reception was, at times, overwhelmingly negative. Showrunner Leslye Headland has since commented on the response, pinning it in no small part on “fascists and racists.””

This. This is the kind of BS that has turned fans away from Hollywood and Disney. And Disney does nothing about it. The Acolyte was one of the worst written shows I have ever watched.

Agreed. There were the conservative culture warriors citing conservative culture war nonsense as to why the Acolyte was bad but a lot of is didn’t like it because we just thought it wasn’t well made.

The best thing Disney could do with Star Wars is retcon the lot and Start again, the lack of coherent leadership from KK doomed them from the Start! Star Wars isn’t just for females it was for everyone! Now it’s for weirdos who like The Acolyte & Holdo!

It’s so embarrassing that a Weinstein’s former PA is putting her failure down to “fascists and racists”. Presumably all the black people I watched pulling The Acolyte apart – some of whom weren’t even interested in Star Wars in the first place, thus were not part of any pile on, but had been asked to review it, were “racist” too? Make it make sense.

  5. Star Wars isn’t always considered “COOL” to begin with. There have been many great television series cancelled in the past that were telling interesting stories. The Adventures of Sinbad starring Zen Gesner, Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog, Dominion (an angelic apocalypse). Sometimes you cater towards everybody when that’s a futile practice to begin with. If you were to tell me Star Wars was a failure, you’d be wrong. Several amazing novels have been written. Revan, Plagueis, Dawn of The Jedi, Darksaber, Darth Bane have really good novels out. Once upon a time people could write. Some of the best stories were books. Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, Lord of The Rings, The Hobbit, etc. They didn’t do a bunch of litmus tests. They just boldly created and were unapologetic about it.

I discovered The Mandalorian while recuperating from 2 back surgeries back in 2022. I’ve even often repeated Seasons 1-3. After discovering that Pedro Pascal was the face of the Mandalorian, I couldn’t be more excited. Therefore, I absolutely fell in love with the Mandalorian & Grogu also. So, I’m super excited with 💯 ++++++++++‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️anticipation to see the movie. Please don’t let us down Disney. We’re forever loyal fans🤗💝♥️
