The non-Florida resident cost for an annual pass is so prohibitive now, we no longer purchase.
We can only go twice using it (for example: that is one time in a two year time frame, so we used one, say in Oct 2026 and the other time in Sept 2027 so we use it within a 1 year time frame from the 1st visit and 2x’s since we can only go 1x a year due to available vacation time from our jobs).
But now, the price has increased so much especially for a hopper pass, and with increased travel costs, hotel stays (we can no longer afford to stay on park) car rental, Park food pricing and the new limits on the discount on food and merchandise it’s just not affordable. We had gone almost every year since our honeymoon in 1985 until 2019, but now we don’t see the availability due to cost anymore, especially when you factor in the wait times for rides and the extreme limits on the fast passes, that used to be free and worked much better when they first introduced them…TBH, I think all fast passes should go away, the queue line would be so much faster. They fill up the ride capacity with a lot more than half of the fast pass people than from the long queue. But the average person cannot afford the prices for the fast passes, especially the best option one.
We are going to Dollywood this year. We’ve been once before, actually on a trip back from Disney on one of the times we drove down from our home in Ohio, and had a blast. Much better priced, entertainment was great, and the food was much better than Disney…TBH, Disney food that the average traveler gets there is pretty bad.
LOL….. The powers that be said a few years back, that they didn’t want the annual resident pass holders any more, because they didn’t spend anything. And now….they need the annual pass holders because they spend money, especially on off seasons or off times.
