I can’t believe they replaced splash Mountain and Tom Sawyer Island with a cartoon themed road rally. There’s almost nothing left in that Park of Walt Disney except for facades, pirates and the haunted Mansion come up but they’ve already ruined the neighborhood of the haunted Mansion and they’ve got a key scenes and music from pirates. The only thing that I can think of that are original is the tiki room tropical serenade, jungle Cruise and Swiss family Robinson treehouse. Oh, and space mountain. But there’s almost no story anymore. And the Disney company is gaslighted us and lied to us. When they took out Snow White’s scary adventures and replaced it with the dwarf’s mine train they claimed that they were telling the story from the perspective of the Dwarfs which is total garbage. The dwarf’s mine train is a roller coaster with the Snow White facade and a couple of scenes. It doesn’t tell the story at all. Walt was all about story. Iger and those who have helped him are about money, period, end of story. As far as I’m concerned, these are wicked people.
Stop crying about traditionalism. There’s competition and technology advancements to make the park better. No kid cares about Frontierland. If they didn’t update everyone goes to universal and Disney fades away.

No one will be crying when Pixar goes away due to Disney being broken up as a monopoly and has to remove Pixar along with Marvel and its other acquired IPs from the parks to avoid paying billions in royalties. I have a Time Machine like Doc Brown and can confirm that when WDW celebrates its 75th in 2046 it will literally have been rewound back to the late 80s and early 90s. I was there. Alien Encounter is back along with Mr. Toad and the Skyway. New Fantasyland is gone. WDW will be great again and stop changing. Stagnation and regression are good and Disney can survive on its name alone. Those who cry that Disney is doomed and that they handed the future to Universal will be proven wrong.

Disgusting. I would have been easier to expand the park and supposedly the attendance numbers would support this move. This is nothing more than destroying what Walt and Roy envisioned and built – also destroying a nod to Walts passion of Americana. Screw Disney
There’s lots of things that need to be updated. Space mountain needs a new track system, pirates could use a new overlay, the tomorrow land speedway is a smelly waste of space, etc. There’s lots of ways to go to make MK better. I understand the traditionalists don’t want it changed, but speaking as someone who has kids and young nieces, they want to see things “Disney” that they relate to, not things from our childhood. Just an opinion, and everyone is welcome to theirs.

Except the River is not being replaced and is open right now. Disney doesn’t have the right to remove it. There is no more imagination left in the world so the parks were completed in the 1990s. When I take over Disney, that philosophy is going away and the parks will be going backwards catering to the purists only and the parks will only welcome purists. Kids will have the same tastes as their parents and grandparents.
Cars isn’t even popular anymore and Disney is showcasing it. You don’t even see much in Cars merch anymore in the regular stores. Why does Disney insist on keeping it going when it’s heyday ended years ago.
