I am wondering that with the extraordinary price of Copper, that the Statue was removed because of threat of theft or vandalism. Perhaps it is copper and they are replacing it with a bronze effigy of the same design and specifications and putting the more valuable one into a secure storage area.. or perhaps a Film archive museum..
