My earliest trips to WDW were magical just for this reason! I remember when characters would roam Magic Kingdom freely. And it created some of my most memorable moments. Almost 50 years later, I still recall vividly meeting Captain Hook (in Liberty Square, of all places) or dancing with Prince John (from Robin Hood) outside Casey’s Corner while the piano player performed. I hope guest etiquette doesn’t mess up these magical moments and Disney can expand this offering for years to come!
