I’m beyond ecstatic for dave to be taking over and I’m glad to see a new perspective and time line to be tapped in to by the officers and directors. That being said the one thing Star Wars fans would truly love to see is film development of the Old Republic, it is entirely untapped and has so many possibilities. Give the fans what we want!

It should have happened before shooting the first movie. She doesn’t fit at all. Maybe she is better as a dramatic character. Not as a strong woman.

It took billions in lost revenue for them to figuere out that ‘strong female character’ shit sucks, royally.

Already sounds like a bigger flop than the last movie. Rouge One was a decent movie. I’ll admit that. It all went to slop after. Starfighter, really sounds like a “rip-off” from The Last Starfighter. Ah well, keep destroying Star Wars… I can’t wait to NOT watch it.

Do you mean “Rogue One?” Rouge is the French word for “Red.”

I’m sorry but Star Wars Starfigher is a dead film walking. It ties into the Sequels and therefore will be ignored by most audiences. They have pure apathy for everything Disney, minus Rogue One/Andor and Mandalorian seasons 1 & 2.

Once you start down the path of the Sequels, forever will it dominate your Legacy. Consume you it will.

  4. No issue with Rey not being in every movie or tieing her to every movie too.
I just hope they don’t wait too long (like Lucas did)
    to finish her story.

I’d be happy if her story were finished as of today. She’s not an interesting character and she’s yet another Skywalker ( who isn’t these days, yawn)

Short sided. Rey is a good character with potential. Sorry to read those.

Regardless of genre, storytelling is about people, get the story right and the rest falls into place…for some unfathomable reason trashing Luke’s arc was a sport for Disney, consumed they were by the dark side..

Daisy was truly awful so thank goodness. Can’t watch another hour of her soulless, wooden acting.

Episodes 1-6 and the movies around those (Rogue One, Kenobi, etc) are the ones I’ll watch over and over……Anything else will just be Million Dollar commercials for the next set of toys.

Looks like Rise of the Resistance at Hollywood studios will be down for a while to revamp to shadow the new movie.

Less “Force”, more story should be the rule for new movies. In the recent trilogy with Rey Skywalker, we saw the Force taken to ridiculous levels. It can travel vast distances much faster than the speed of light, apparently, and people can just reach right through it. And please stop tying main characters together with reveals that everyone is related to a single family. It makes the galaxy seem like a small town in Arkansas.

Get the name right, it’s Rey Palpatine. She’s about as much a Skywalker as I am a Calrissian.

I think all this flak about the sequel trilogy is overdone; it was not done well but that was Disney playingpoliticd and political correctness – both disastrously. I would like to see more of Daisy’s character and couldn’t care less about a new timeline. I think the real reasons for thus “fresh start” are money , politics and laziness of film personnel who dint have the required talent or skill shown by multiple authors in books to create original works true to existing lore.
