Frankly, Disney and Lucasfilm seems to have dropped the ball. Remember how popular ‘Baby Yoda’ was? Millions and millions of people around the world could recognize ‘Baby Yoda.’ Then season 3 of ‘The Mandalorian’ showed that the producers didn’t have a direction or overall plan. THEN we heard season 4 would be a movie. Bad move.
I’m really upset there won’t be another season with Grogu and the Mando. It was funny and serious at times. I was a lunch monitor for young children and they would come dressed to school as Grogu. Also when I went to Disney I bought myself a Grogu shirt and also bought a Mando and Grogu shirt for my son-in-law. Please reconsider your decision. best, Gail Cangialosi.

Completely new thing for Star Wars? Taken place a lot more in future or in past we will see. I am sure with refreshing executives in Lucasfilm they hope to refresh franchise that… has been Stagnated lately. Since Mando Season 2 and outside Andor… there’s not been really good content. Mando s3 was good but didn’t reach previous 2 season. Ahsoka is good too, but to it work properly you need to watch 7 seasons of Clone Wars and 4 seasons of Rebels. Without those its fun but it ner has intended to work alone but as continuation of Clone Wars and Rebels story.
I love the Mandalorian and Grogu. I think Disney is making a mistake. There are still tons of fans out there. They just need to stick to the same storyline as season 1 and 2. I liked season 3 but not as much as season 1 and 2.
If the characters were Mandolina and Grogeena they would be mainstays until the end of time. Disney is in full self-destruct mode. They dismantled, discredited, and disrespected the original trio of heroes so thoroughly it’s shameful. Favreaux has all of season 4 written and we’re already being cheated out of a 7hr story for an hour 45. Stick to your princesses Disney and let the real storytellers handle Star Wars! I’m done. Ill never watch another minute or give them another dollar!!!

With all those star wars movies and series coming out a lot of people might be happy with it all.
Me on the other hand was only happy with the mandalorian and boba fett.
Now that is ending i truly have nothing to look forward too in the star wars universe.
Yes, that is including the upcoming movie because we all know that is about squeezing more $$ from that theme instead of the continuence of building upon the existing 3 season foundations.
That said, if nobody had good ideas of where to take it beyond that point it might as well just end before it loses it’s magic.

I would love to see more of the Mandalorian with Grogu. I will see the movie. I would love to see a season four also.

If Disney drops all Future Star Wars projects I WILL be dropping Disney subscription.
Honestly, Star Wars fans wait between 1983 and 1999 for a new movie series to come out. They can wait a couple of years now so Filoni gets settles in his new role.
For “fans” who say they are done with Star Wars, that was said so many times in the last 50 years! The Holiday Special, the Ewok movies, the Special Editions, the Prequels, Disney buying Lucas, the Sequels. But the fans still watxhes up until now. And if you hadn’t, maybe you were not the “fan” you thought you were!

And with sll the buzz about Baby Yoda I had to watch for myself. I really enjoyed the series as I love Pedro even though he was mostly the voice. I even met Mando at Disney World Hollywood Studios last spring. So the series drew in folks like me who got tired of the franchise and didn’t follow it any longer. Too bad they’re letting it go. After I see the movie I’ll be back to watching the Marvel timeline.

Its very common in Hollywood that when new mgt takes over they shelve anything planned by old mgt in favor of what new mgt wants, it’s own legacy. Besides, Kennedy damaged THE MANDOPLORIAN enough with her interference in season 3 to ensure it would not return again. Darth Kennedy was always jealous of Favreau’s far greater success with STAR WARS then she was able to do.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a company less capable than Disney at handling a huge IP. They are lucky they are as big as they are because almost everything they’ve done for the last 10 to 15 years has been a complete failure with them leaving money on the table.
Mando was fresh new and unique. It captured the imagination of young and old with initially no agendas. Just intrigue and fun with a really cool western aesthetic.
They could have continued to print money and make people happy but they gave agendas to push and bad stories to tell.
They need to sell off all their big IP and let a hungrier studio make the product.
