I read previously that Iger, et al, the same people objecting to Davy Crockett carrying a flintlock rifle, were concerned with the attic scene’s method of “find a way out.” This would truly be tragic if they did away with the stretching room and its attic conclusion. I hope Iger retires before more damage is done to another Walt Disney experience.
I agree with 3 comments above. I read there was discussion about the one picture of the hanging. People have no sense of humor. Everything is offensive. I told my child when he was 4 or so “that is pretend or that is only on tv, not real”. If they think anything in there is going to cause a person to harm themself that person was not stable anyway. Leave original things alone. Use some imagination for new movies, shows or rides in the park.
Let’s maybe hope it’s a new Grave Stone added to the Grave Yard to honor the late “Adam the Woo” who did so much to promote Disney World and Disney Land and all of Disney in general.
WDW property prohibits any kind of basement because of the water table. The stretch room stretches up. When you walk out you are still at the same level when you walked in.
I heard probably from this same newsletter that they are going to remove the hanging body from the stretching room. I agree that if someone with suicidal ideations sees that, it may trigger them. I agree since I am related to someone with those.
Comments for Stretching Room To Be Removed From Haunted Mansion at Disney World; New Permit Signals Closure

No wonder the 999 Haunts are always so active. Damn Disney execs won’t leave them alone.

I think it is due to the removal of the Waters of America, where the riverboat was located.

That’s the point! They aren’t stable! How dare you say suicidal ideation is funny.

Maybe they are upgrading the elevators that operate the stretching room. They are original.
Stacey
There are no elevators in the Walt Disney World version.

No they are not removing it.
