Are you aware of the real life 1927 Mississippi flood disaster that Tianas Bayou Adventure ride is unintentionally based on? Many towns in Louisiana like Morgan city was flooded. I read the book flood survival and the book rising tide by John m Berry. I’m surprised the Disney imagineers didn’t research 1927 history.
Also the ride I feel is underwhelming and barebones. No spoonbill birds, lady butterflies a showboat and no Lawrence or Dr facilier or when we’re human and friends on the other side song which is a big letdown. I’m wondering if Tiana is based on Bessie Coleman the African American woman airplane pilot because she looks like Bessie Coleman who was alive until 1926.
Rode this yesterday. A whole wave came over the front of the boat, higher than my 6 foot son in the first seat. Not one part of him was dry. I sat in the 3rd seat and my jeans did not dry until 4 hours later. if you go on it, wear less clothes. ones that will dry quickly. maybe your bathing suit. It’s way wetter than when it was splash mountain.

Grandson and I loved this ride and went on 3 times last month at DW. We sat in a middle car without a poncho!
