It sounds like it could be the toll plaza to the parking lot, not the admission gate into the park itself.
Contactless entry coming? Prepay for parking in the app and use barcode to open a gate?
If it’s not broken then leave it alone, how many people have taken a photo of it as there getting to it.Theirs too many changes going on Walt will be turning in his grave.
