How about go back to the basics and WD’s great plan for families! We loved the Disney of old that kept children and families in the center. Now it is a woke, political DEI driven full of deviants. Go back to what made you great.
Allowing that failure of a CEOI Bob Iger to select the next CEO is a massive mistake but on part for how Disney has operated the last 10 years. It appears they haven’t lost enough $$ yet from their incompetent management of the company so they’ll have to take even more losses before someone does something.
Too Little too late……probably. Iger sucks. And I’m SO tired of everyone piling on Chapek – he is the scapegoat he never had time to do much of anything.
Consider this. Iger was CEO LONGER than Walt was alive to be involved in Disneyland. But its not just Iger its the mainline managers who push their claptrap and the board who allowed him to destroy the IP. Look at its members over time, loaded with the alphabet crew and wokeism. Have not been to Disney since 2017 after going 2-3 times per year for 20 years and gues what….. there is life after Disney.
For the record. I for one did not cancel my hulu and d+ subscriptions because kimmel was suspended. I cancelled them when he was reinstated. I will not support a company that promotes hate filled divisive lies and celebrates murder.
Iger needs to go sooner than later. In the last shareholder vote, when investors attempted to put some of their people on the board: the vote options were ‘FOR’ or ‘Abstain’ – NO ‘Against’ vote option. This was another trick for Iger to stay. So tired of his antics and attempts to stay in charge. His buying that Manhattan bldg and moving all broadcast studios to his bldg FOREVER!! And his friends on the board approved it!!! If this would have gone through a shareholder vote, it wouldn’t have flown. He needs to go now! Before he does more damage to Disney.
It’s no surprise that theme park attendance is down. The ticket prices are excessive. Recently my family wanted to go to Disneyworld at Christmas. The park tickets cos $275 for park hopper per day! I shudder to think that the parks head would become CEO. I’m a DVC member and find it unaffordable to go to the parks even with my hotel already paid for. Don’t get me wrong, I love Disney but find myself turning my family to other vacation destinations.
