I would be the first to criticize Disney if they deserve it. This woman is a grifter. If she is in such bad shape – 50,000 is nothing….. what she is hoping that Disney will give her the cash rather than fight it due to the cost of litigation. Ridiculous and specious NOT to expect water on the ground near a pool. What BS.

Definitely agree! Someone looking for some quick money. Maybe watch where you’re walking?

Both lawsuits are ridiculous. She slipped on water at a pool?! The other tripped on trolley tracks?! These are cases of negligence on the part of the guest for not looking where they were going. What happened to personal responsibility!?! I myself have tripped on the trolley tracks before and I was not injured beyond a scrape. These people are looking for a money grab, plain and simple

I have tripped on the tracks at the magic kingdom also, so has my husband. We see people tripping on them, getting strollers and scooters getting stuck. We all know they are there and another thing is walking down the sidewalk and not realizing the curb is there, I have almost fallen a couple times not realizing it was so close.

Ditto. The first 3 posts have it covered. If I was the judge in either case, I would need to restrain myself from laughing at the charges. If you’re near a pool, it’s going to be wet. If you are near tracks of any kind at a train station, near a trolley, or anywhere else, WATCH YOUR STEP.

I agree with all of the above comments. Just looking for money. Take some responsibility for your actions, look at your surroundings. How many people walk over the trolley tracks every day. If it was a dangerous situation, Disney would have removed it years ago.

I agree with the other comments.

What happened to personal responsibility? These people are scammers. What a joke that the legal system even considers these type of cases.

My friend fell hard on a greasy floor exiting DLuxe burger at Disney Springs. The floor was like ice. All she got was an ice bag and a comp burger. It was clearly lack of cleaning and she fell hard. Totally busted up her knee. She is an attorney and clearly had grounds to push the issue further. But, water around a pool? 🤦🏻

Hard to believe that Disney would allow any water on the edge of a swimming pool. Maybe review security footage and sue the person that got out of the pool with wet feet. Just another 50k money grab. Just pay her and issue a permanent ban on her entering any Disney property.

    1. All above responses are spot on. Ban her and her family from all Disney property at any location. Her entire medical record should be released to the entity she is suing for review. Her employment history as well.

People slip because of the flip flops there wearing. I seen people with the non skid flip flop slide all the time especially the ones they sell at the dollar store or the one they have 2 for 5. There more plastic then rubber.

Agree with the comments above. Disney should countersue and ask for attorney fees
And bring in hundreds of Disney guest to say the pool area is anticipated to be wet and the trolley tracks are anticipated to be in MK where the trolley goes.

OMG, there is water near a pool, God forbid. It’s getting so ridiculous how many moneygrubbers are out there these days.
Disney does its best at keeping everything as safe as possible and these people still find ridiculous reasons to sue.

Good grief. What a whiny baby. Can’t tell you how many times I slipped on wet concrete around a pool at the swim club our family belonged to. My mom would look up from her book and say “I told you to be careful”.

Tripping on the trolley tracks? Was she texting on her phone I wonder? Anyway, same thing applies. Be careful. Pay attention. Don’t blame someone else for your lack of judgement.

I personally feel that Disney should not cave to these people. Water by a pool. Give me a break. You are going to have water spots all around a pool area. The trolly. Please watch where you are going.
So i guess that I should join there band wagon. In September of 25 I did slip and fell at the animal kingdom. I was in the quick service area for eating. I did not see the spill on the floor and i went down hard. People came to me quickly cast members and vacationers. They helped me up, got ice and they got me to my room where my husband was waiting on me. 911 was called and they came out. Now yes our vacation was cut short. However, i went to my dr when igot home and he confirmed nothing was broke. Now yes, i had medical bills and yes rest of vacation was stopped. However, i am not going after Disney. They did what they were supposed to do. And yes the quick service place is near where people go in and out to pool and eating. Yes someone came in wet. But that is still not disneys fault. It’s the people who dont follow the signs. Please walk, watch your step.
Oh to top it off i dont know how old this person is but i am in my 60’s. So i could have been far worse off

Come on, slipping on ‘water’ near the pool…. she should have known/or should have known that there might be water, near a pool. I believe this will be thrown out of court. This is truly a frivolous lawsuit.

  15. annoyed

Let me guess, she was probably there many times in the past and needed to cash out of her many trips there. You have to be absolutely mental to complain about a wet floor near the pool or in the area of the pool for that matter. Guests leaving the pool should wipe their feet dry before walking away. Clearly this individual wants to cash out.

  16. Boris

A wet spot by a pool? Disney is soooooo irresponsible! I’ll bet the ambulance-chasing lawyers lined up in droves to take this case.

  17. Lori

    I wouldn’t give the troll a dime.

  18. michael

Another gold digger looking for money, and will probably get it. Why? Because of the way our courts work-Disney will be advised by their lawyers to settle because it would cost less than to go to trial even one day, which of course only encourages more scam artists. It’s not a matter of who is right or wrong-the court will side with this “victim” because Disney has money.
