Late on Sunday night, law enforcement and paramedics responded to a reported “person down” at Walt Disney World Resort. This is a standard code for unconscious, unresponsive, or otherwise medically compromised guests throughout Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney Springs, and the Disney Resort hotels.
However, last evening’s emergency response was one of the most unusual that Inside the Magic has reported: The patient was reportedly found on the road.
“Person Down” Reported on Sunday Evening

The news came from X (formerly known as Twitter) account @WDWActiveCrime, which monitors and reports scanner activity across Walt Disney World Resort properties. According to the user’s transcription of law enforcement communications, authorities responded to a “person down” call shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2025.

The attached Google Maps screenshot pinpoints the incident at Disney Springs; however, this likely refers to Walt Disney World Resort‘s protocol of centralizing emergency response addresses to select locations on its property. According to the scanner, first responders actually rushed to the intersection of East Buena Vista Drive and the EPCOT Center Drive off-ramp.
Authorities haven’t shared more information about this incident. Although police reports about criminal or suspicious activity at the Central Florida Disney parks are often released, medical-exclusive responses are typically kept private, unless the patient passes away.
What Guests Should Know This Week

During the busy lead-up to Christmas at Walt Disney World Resort, guests should be aware that there have been no reported traffic disruptions following the “person down” call late on Sunday evening. However, anyone who encounters law enforcement or Disney security during their vacation should follow all instructions and avoid areas that are blocked off.
