Minutes before 6:30 a.m. on December 29, authorities rushed to the Magic Kingdom Resort area over an alleged incident of child neglect. X (formerly known as Twitter) user @WDWActiveCrime, known for tracking and reporting scanner data at Walt Disney World Resort, shared the emergency call in a post:

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 12/29/25 6:25 AM
🚨: Child Neglect at 📍: Disney’s Magic Kingdom / Contemporary Area

Emergency calls at Walt Disney World Resort are tracked to centralized addresses, rather than the exact location where the incident occurred. The “child neglect” response could have happened anywhere in the Magic Kingdom Park or Disney’s Contemporary Resort area.

Magic Kingdom Park had yet to open at the time of the emergency response, making it more likely that the Disney Resort hotel was the site of the alleged child neglect. However, this hasn’t been confirmed.

Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t issued a statement about the child neglect in the Magic Kingdom Resort area on Monday. Local authorities often release police reports regarding criminal or suspicious activity at the Central Florida Disney parks, but they have yet to do so in this case.

Second Incident in a Month

Sadly, this is the second child neglect incident at Walt Disney World Resort in less than a month. At around 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, authorities flocked to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for another “child neglect call.”

In that incident, it was speculated that the child may have been abandoned at the park, which closed hours before the call and is not attached to any Disney Resort hotels.

Neither Walt Disney World Resort nor local authorities have shared any information about that incident.
