One vintage-style Disney Store is set to undergo a major overhaul in the coming weeks and is preparing to cease operations. Here’s what fans need to know about the upcoming closure.
Disney Store Closing

Back in November, the Disneyland Paris Resort app revealed that the original Disney Store location in the Disney Village shopping and dining district would permanently close on January 4, 2026. The last day for guests to experience the merchandise location is Saturday, January 3. After that, the shop is listed as “under refurbishment.”

Disneyland Paris Resort has recently shared concept art for the promised replacement of the Disney Store, known as “Disney Wonders.”

However, the European Disney park has yet to announce a grand opening date for the updated merchandise location.
The Future of Disney Village
The Disney Store construction project is one of many in the Disney Village shopping and dining district at Disneyland Paris Resort. Over the last few months, Disney Parks fans have been tracking the progress of a new multi-story McDonald’s, which will replace the vintage-style location that has been in Disney Village for over two decades. The new restaurant is scheduled to open in early 2026.

Several revamped or new merchandise locations have opened at Disney Village in the last few months, including LEGO, Disney Glamour, and Disney Style.
Other Construction at Disneyland Paris Resort

On March 29, 2026, Disneyland Paris Resort will introduce its refreshed second theme park: Disney Adventure World. The current Walt Disney Studios Park is being transformed from a theme park about movie-making into an immersive journey through fans’ favorite cinematic universes.
When the overhauled Disney park debuts next year, it will introduce the World of Frozen land, featuring two new attractions, dining locations, entertainment, and more. Walt Disney Imagineers are also developing another land and log flume ride inspired by The Lion King (1994) for Disney Adventure World, but an exact grand-opening date for that area has yet to be announced.
