Santa’s a Christian symbol? What Christian denomination would that be from? Okay….even if we give you that, he’s gone as scheduled….as in every year…because it’s after Christmas.
I am sorry to say but Santa is not a Christian symbol, The true meaning of Christmas is the story of Jesus being born! Yes, having Santa is nice for the families and it is always nice to give presents, but the word Christmas, shows the true meaning Christ!!! Hope all had a Merry Christmas anyhow.
I’m Christian and don’t like Santa. He is NOT a Christian symbol. His existence is a mere lie that parents tell their innocent children. The true meaning of Christmas is Jesus Christ’s birth.
I’m just gonna assume that the w r i t e r of this a r t i c l e is really, really dumb. Santa Claus has nothing whatsoever to do with Christianity, considering he as real as the Easter bunny. Both are non-christian coverups for the real Christian meaning for those holidays.
Sure, some people may think Santa is Christian because he was possibly based on St. Nicholas, a real human being and Christian man who helped start the tradition of giving gifts on Christmas. But there’s a difference. St. Nicholas was part of the real world.
You cannot be Christian and tell your kids that Santa and Easter bunny are real deals because lying is a sin.
St Nicholas, upon whom Santa is loosely based was a real Christian person who was canonized for his charity. He is celebrated in early December, and I wouldn’t be shocked if there is some iconography in Disney that depict his likeness.
Lol! I came for the comments, and wasn’t disappointed! I know all about St Nicholas, but I also wouldn’t call him a Christian symbol. Santa Claus is for ALL children of ALL practicing religions and non-religions. Maybe if the title had read Christmas instead of Christian? 🤷♀️
I’ve never seen Santa Clause as any type of religious figure. Just a made up jolly guy that gives gifts to all the good kids of the world. There is nothing (at least in my opinion) religious about him. Nothing!!!!
I visited China some years ago in mid-December and was surprised to find them with Santa Claus and other “Christmas” decorations and hype everywhere, in that communist atheist nation. When I asked about it, they said they didn’t know why they celebrated, and when I asked about Jesus Christ, they answered, “Who’s he?” Any nativities at Disneyland? Disney dishonors and insults 66% of their own patrons.

Santa Claus did not die for your sins.
Santa, wreaths, garland, ornaments, raindeer, etc… are NOT Christian symbols.

Since when is Santa a Christian symbol? A Nativity scene is a Christian symbol.

Agree with all the other comments. I’ve never found Santa Claus in the Bible. It is an ancient tradition but not a Christian symboo
