I watched the manderlorean for the sole purpose.Pedro pascal was in it.It was brilliant and grogu captured my heart.I was so excited for the next series to come out.Now i’m not watching it.Why do people try to fix things that are not broken?Very very disappointed

Relax people, everyone seems to be freaking out because they think Pedro Pascal isn’t in it and they’re changing their characters. That’s not the case, he IS in it but obviously his character went through alot of changes and development over 3 seasons, as did Grogu. It’s called a character arc, and this is a movie so they need to make it more cinematic instead of episodic. None of this is bad news so everyone calm down!!

  2. Jazzy

Seriously. I was really looking forward to the mandalorian movie. It’s not the same without the dynamic duo. Well I’m not watching it now. Why fix what’s not broken. Makes no sense. They won’t find anybody better.

    1. RaeAnna

Yeah, not happening. I’m not sure why they have this need to completely change the original premise of the show when that is what made it popular to begin with. That and the hope that we could just ignore that the sequel trilogy ever happened. Season 3 of the Mandalorian kind of destroyed that and I don’t believe this movie will be any better. I wasn’t going to watch it before because of the massive disappointment the 3rd season was, but I’m definitely not going to now. There might be some people who end up liking it, but I doubt there will be many.

  3. Rapscallion

Well….can always hope for a season 4 of ‘The Mandalorian’ with no Grogu after the movie flops.
I just want Mando back doing his thing throughout the universe. Let Grogu have his own series. If you can’t afford it, don’t ruin the memories!

  4. Matthew

I’m disappointed. Dammit. They’re greedy money hungry losers. They lost me. A 48 year fan. This is a change made for the wrong reason. They suck.

  5. Bill

Love the show movie sounds very confusing might ruin everything but I will still watch

Disney Star Wars…always taking one step forward and five steps back…sometimes leaving things be what they are is the best way to go. With Star Wars that is always the case yet Disney and modern Lucasfilm just can’t help themselves…I hope one day I can see Star Wars return to it’s former glory…but it doesn’t look like that will happen anytime soon.

Well they have to put their woke nonsense in to everything that was good and turn it into crap.

      1. Pp

        Fucking idiot.

        1. digglesworth

Fuck you libtard shit for brains

  7. Krys

I think George Lucas needs to get back in the ring and take over what he created bringing sense and balance back to the Force.

  8. Peabart

I completely agree with the comments above they are taking a series that I became more and more intrigued with and was totally my favorite TV series at the time they’re trying to fix something that’s not broken and would make tons of money by just expanding on the current plot line. Reminds me of when they had Han Solo fire second instead of first in the Cantina. This is pathetic.

  9. Baby_Yoda_Nut

I love Baby Yoda and watched the show for the sole purpose of glimpses of him. I cannot wait for this movie! Alot of the appeal of the series was the bond between Mando and Grogu so I hope they don’t mess with that. But if I’m not mistaken, that’s what you are hinting at here. I hope they don’t ruin that. There is nothing I can do to prepare for that level of disappointment.

    1. Pedro out. He wasn’t the character his voice was but anyone could do it. The two guys wearing the suit did great and glad they stayed. The voice can change to someone else with a deeper voice.
Character changes as people in life change.
My stink was when Gina left. They screwed it up totally. It hasn’t been the same level when that character was removed. So ignorant. Kennedy needs to be removed she is a waste and ruined the franchise.
Less woke crap and more action of yore. Disney with their woke ideology of what people want is a joke. We grew up in Star Wars back in the day it didn’t need DEI it already had it.

Book of Boba Fett was horrendous. The Acolyte was so bad we didn’t make it through the 3rd episode. The last season of The Mandalorian, Mando was a side character at best. “Financial reasons” is a cop out. We all know why. I have a bad feeling about this. 🙁

    1. FlotsamSam

Chill out, granny. Acolyte was ok. Book of Boba was good. You’re one of those fans that is way to involved and just don’t enjoy things for what they are. Preconceptions will be your doom. Enjoy what is to offer. You want a bad Star Wars movie? Episode 1 or anything with Rey in it. LOL

      1. Whyte243

Acolyte was so bad it was canceled. It also showed us a story that stood against everything star wars was, overweight jedi, horrible plot, weird cult that basically made a black female version of “the chosen one” and book of Boba fett? So bad one episode is literally just a mandalorian episode, disrespectful to old characters like cad bane and Boba who was turned into a little Friendly negotiator. Don’t defend the worst shows disney has produced it looks stupid.

      2. Whyte243

The Acolyte went against everything star wars stood for, they made a black female chosen one basicallymaking Anakin less special, there’s an overweight Jedi (warriors who are supposed to be at peak physical capabilities.) The plot made no sense. And book of Boba fett? Are we for real? They turned Boba into a nice little negotiator they disrespect his character, they disrespect cad bane and one episode was basically just the mandalorian

      3. Tairy

So you can say what you hated was shit but you liked “Book of Let’s Change the Entire Character So He Doesn’t Make Sense Anymore” and that makes me a grandma? I see. If you liked The Acolyte I feel sorry for you anyway.

  11. Ruining a good thing. I found baby Yoda adorable, how they came up with such a horrible name like “Grogu” I’ll never know. (Sounds like my cat spitting up a furball.) Disney definitely cant recognize what sold the program in the first place.

  12. Sara

The whole spirit of The Mandalorian has been sacrificed, it sounds like, on the Altar of the financial fat cats. By jettisoning Pedro Pascal, you are literally killing the goose that laid the golden egg. Will probably watch, but not expecting much. This whole story arc is falling into a deep deep trench.

    1. Terry

We have watched the Mandolaian series 3 times. It gets better each time. We love Pedro Pascal. I even bought a baby Grogu for a Christmas present for myself and I was 71 years old. My heart is broken. We would have watched and re-watched the Mandolaian for ten seasons. Why would Disney change something that was just perfect? Huge mistake. Shame on Disney.

Studios (or even the creators, at times) never seem to understand what makes their own releases resonate. One of film’s great strengths is creation by committee, but it’s also usually their downfall, especially since bean-counters and corporate types have power in that mix. I’m still looking forward to the movie, but my expectations have lowered. Like seeing Avatar several times at the theater but the sequel once. (Or Star Wars; A New Hope five times, but the latest movies once each…)
Stories can evolve and be revitalized without capricious change.
Disney is not proving very loyal to those who have supported them. Sad.

    1. Jamie

What is it with Disney? They’ve bought Lucas’s and as soon as they did, promised to knock out a film every 2 years. Mandolin was great because it was different from the usual “let’s just kick the ass out of what worked previously and now they’re going into an MCU crossover angle.
Obi Wan average. Solo was an excuse to use the vessel run quote. Admittedly Book of Fett came close as did Ahsoka, but I think people appreciate something different as an alternative to the mainstream SW films

  15. Steph

Tell Tommy since Gina won her lawsuit I would say don’t be too surprised if you see her show up and a cameo roll. There’s still enough time right now to film pick ups and they have been filming pick ups. If you actually knew what we were talking about you would understand that, but you don’t. You left us should get out of the culture and do something productive.

I want to see Pedro Pascal as the Mandalorian—he’s the reason we fell in love with the series in the first place. Pedro and Grogu are absolutely magical together.
If Pedro isn’t in it, I will be genuinely heartbroken. I won’t be happy, and honestly, I won’t even go to the theater.
My nephew and I already had plans to go see it, but without Pedro, it just wouldn’t be the same. He’s the heart of the story, and the reason we follow it at all.

  17. James McManus

I don’t understand the issue. This has been the natural development of the character over the course of the three seasons, if you watched the show you know that. Plus what is described plot wise is still very much bounty hunting adjacent, tracking down warlords after the empire’s fall and dispatching them. In fact that sounds awesome, an ex bounty hunter working for the rebels in that way.

  18. Jim

“The direct” written by Ai or just they didn’t even proof read it? Who knows anymore.

  19. Kyle

Did anyone of you even read the article?

All that’s happening is Din Djarin’s story arc is evolving, as character development is supposed to do.

He’s maturing from the heartless gunslinger to a caring father figure. That’s not an issue. It’s great storytelling and an inevitable outcome from the very first episode when he refused to kill the child.

Get a grip, “fans,” and stop hating on every single thing Disney does like it’s going out of style. I have my gripes with the sequel trilogy and other series, don’t get me wrong. But not here. This is good.

What’s shocking to me is that there are any Star Wars fans left. I tried on three occasions to watch VII or the female/ minority rehash of IV, but failed all three times to make it 20 minutes in.
To me, the only tolerable one was Rogue One, but Disney’s constant unwavering attempts to have likable female leads is tired. At least everyone got Death Starred at the end.
I have fond memories of seeing Empire at the drive-in at 4 years old all the way to the novels covering VII,VIII, and IX and even Dark Horse’s Dark Empire run, but nothing Disney has done has had me purchase even 1 piece of merchandise except for a Lego or 2.
Disney should remake the book version of the finally trilogy by having Jar Jar Banks wake up from a fever dream to explain away the other garbage they have attempted to force down our throats. Get it?
    Forced.
