Gunn was a damned fool for ditching Cavil and we all KNOW the ONLY reason he did that is because he wanted a full.complete break from what Shyder made regardless if it was good or not. Gunns arrogance over rode his intelligence and now Warner Bros is paying the price.
Gunn is a good director but a piss poor creative lead for an entire DCU. This is what happens when one is promoted to a point of incompetency.
I don’t understand why we can only have one universe at one time. If I was in charge, I would have kept both universes going together, separating continuities by using their names Zack Snyder or James Gunn in front of it. It’s really not that hard. If both universes make a profit, who cares which version it is, there’s fandom for both universes, that’s evidently clear. Fans wouldn’t get confused, but the studio seems to think so.
I really liked Henry Cavill as Superman. I feel we were all cheated out of some great stuff yet to come. I truly hope Snyder’s universe gets restored and he finishes his vision for all these characters, especially Superman!
