Universal always does the right thing. This pass for our service members and their families is a great way to honor them, after all, they don’t make enough to afford to go to a theme park, especially a family of 4. And give them discounts on merchandise, lodging, and food.
I hope Disney does the same!

I notice they didn’t say veterans, just active and retired. My husband is a 100 % disabled vet. Just asking.

Veterans are included. We have been getting the Freedom passes for several years and I am retired.

Nothing for veterans who aren’t retired. My husband served for a decade intending to retire, as his father did before he was RIFd as part of the military drawdown in 1992.

Universal has had this pass for YEARSSSS. It’s not new.

Total embarrassment that site used Swedish aircraft instead of USAF aircraft for their image.

My Dad was WWII Navy Seabee, do I Get it?

Make these passes available for veterans that served but did not retire. These passes only speak to a limited group of people. Think about how many retired or disabled vets go to the parks. Now think about how many that number would be if you had people that served just 4 years and got out but are still young enough to enjoy everything the park has to offer with a young fanily. Parks don’t want those numbers.

Why were Swedish Saab fighter jets used in this announcement? 🥴

Need to allow these same passes for non-retired veterans. Also, my wife is retired DOD with over 30 years. Someone that started with DOD can get them, but she cannot eventho she worked medical at VA hospitals for the entire 30 years. Have taken care of more retired, disabled, active-duty personnel than you could pack into universal studios. Retired DOD were able to get the military freedom pass up until 2 years ago and universal changed the rules. Not fair to those that have devoted their entire careers to serving the military.
