Seaworld is easy to get the disability pass. Disney is absolutely impossible. They discriminate against all disabilities and diseases except autism children. And I have heard some with autistic children still be denied. Go.after Disney. They are discriminating against disabilities so you buy their lightning lane passes.

While I am also angry at Disney for their changes to DAS, this is a case of apples and oranges. They are not excluding any mobility devices, which is the subject of this article.
And while not being able to get DAS passes does often drive guests to purchasing LL, they don’t force them to do so in order to use the park (Sea World was putting guests in the position of having to rent their equipment or not enter).
I totally agree with all the angry comments about Disney’s DAS changes. The history of the “why” behind said changes is long and infuriating. They should be more inclusive of guests with disabilities, not catering almost exclusively to one subset. And their methods of obtaining a DAS are stressful and intrusive.

I was expecting Disney to be on this list

Why isn’t Disney on your list they force disabled to buy lighting lane or forgo the parks with their new version of DAS

Good all the parks should be investigated

Good. And then all the other industries where I feel I’m forced to pay extra for being disabled or sometimes downright excluded. The conventions I go to have become where parking is now valet only at a very high price or go park down the road like most do for cheaper. No exception for those with handicap tags no matter how many times I’ve complained that was downright illegal to force me to pay the premium price.

Please present the whole story. United Parks is not preventing guests with disabilities from entering their parks, they just need to use an approved mobility device. Many injuries have occurred in the United Parks parks by people improperly using certain types of rollator walkers, especially those that have seats. The safety and comfort of all guests, including those that do and do not have disabilities should come first.

Please provide proof that rollators have caused injuries. And don’t include any “proof” that lists improper use of them, such as giving children rides on the seats while the rollator is being used as a mobility device. Oddly enough, Disney parks, which also have a wide variety of ground surfaces, have never had an issue with guests using rollators.

You must not be disabled or know someone who is and yes there r people who abuse, this just like they By getting a disability card for your car and not being disabled to have something wrong with you, but there are some things that not physically may be mentally so think before you speak

While they’re at it, the DOJ should investigate the recent string of “suicides” occurring over at WDW lately, at (or very close to) the Disney Contemporary Resort Hotel 🧐 SEVEN (supposed) suicides all happening within a month at/near the EXACT same location??? You CANNOT tell me that’s just a random coincidence!

I think the DOJ needs to take a look at Disney who about a year ago revamped their disability access requirements. My husband and I had 4 letters, from a back surgeon, neurologist, and two general physicians, stating that we could not stand or wait in long lines because of our health problems. We were told that autism was the only disability acceptable for the DAS. We can buy their expensive ‘lightning lane’ pass, which I think is ridiculous.

Access to parks should always be for everyone. Access to certain rides should not. I think strict guild lines for intense rides should have restrictions for the safety of everyone.

Wheelchairs and EVC’s are abused as well. They have caused more injuries than rollators. Only difference is, the parks make money off of them.
