Leave it to the current powers that be to stomp on the Star Wars Legacy with the upcoming 50th anniversary. Disney will pull out all the stops at the theme parks while turning its back on what Star Wars is at its core. Yes, we love the Skywalker saga but all of the spinoffs (Mandalorian, Andor, Bad Batch, etc.) know that Star Wars is the Rebellion and the Empire. Yes, we love our characters and we can be introduced to more, but at its heart, it needs to be Star Wars and not just a space movie under the SW franchise. Can’t we send Kathleen on her way to make a Jurassic movie without dinosaurs or a Godfather movie without the mafia? I’d throw in a couple of bucks to send her to ruin another franchise.
