I saw the AI trailer when it came out. I don’t care if this movie is supposed to fix what the fourth one destroyed, neither the fifth or fourth should’ve been made. Disney is merely milking a beloved franchise just like they’re doing to Moana. Should’ve stopped with the third.
I saw the Moana teaser trailer and people are saying that is AI also. Neither trailer may not be AI but with everything being changed to AI people have gotten to the point to not trust what they see anymore. AI is going to be a very major downfall of the world someday.
Yes most definitely it should’ve ended with the third. The three shorts and two short specials were great but the sloppily written fourth movie was uncalled for and completely destroyed everything Woody once stood for. I won’t be watching this movie, I’ll leave that for the shills to do. If they want to fuel for a sixth that’s their problem.
Jessie already had a girlboss-y moment in the Halloween special, Toy Story of Terror where she had to face her fear of being boxed up in order to save Woody. We don’t need an entire movie revolved around her, putting her in the lead so she can save watered down Buzz and all the others from Lilypad. They already trashed Bo Peep with girlboss agenda. Don’t do this again, Disney.
Coincidentally, Toy Story is what’s on the TV right now. 😁 The first two will always mean a great deal to me. I’m thirty (as old as the franchise itself!) and still watch them for emotional support. I watched the third one in the theater but frankly I’m not crazy about it. Buzz never had a demo or Mexican mode and to be honest I think Andy should’ve gone through with his original plan of storing his toys in the attic and taking Woody to college with him rather than giving them away. Bonnie’s family isn’t exactly poverty striken, that girl has enough toys for two or three kids (if you watched the short Partysaurus Rex you’d know what I’m talking about).
Then that could’ve corrected the issue with the fourth. Andy would’ve come home a married man and wanting to go through his mother’s attic to retrieve his possessions to put in his own house and give his childhood toys to his future child.
I’m glad to hear Pixar admit that but that doesn’t correct the fact they made a sucky 4th and a pointless 5th. If they wanted to continue with movies about toys why not let Andy’s toys rest in peace and create brand new characters? Oh wait that’s right: Disneys so-called imagineers’s minds don’t work that way anymore. 🙄
I want to take a moment and be grateful that Pixar made it clear that they were not going to allow their movies to be redone with “live action” otherwise Disney surely would’ve remade the first two or three by now. That at least leaves the franchise sacred to the animated world only and we don’t have to worry about stating which movie we mean when you name it (the “original” or the “remake”)
Woody Toy Story: We stick together!
Woody Toy Story 2: We stick together!
Woody Toy Story 3: We stick together!
Woody Toy Story 4: So long, suckers!
Woody Toy Story 5: Nah, I’m back.
Lol, yeah its like with time Disney has gone from the morals of sticking together with your friends and being there for your family to pushing for people to ditch their friends and family to do their own thing. The exact same message was thrown into the sucky Lilo and Stitch remake. Nani be like, I love my little sister so much I’m gonna dump her off on other people so I can do what I want.
Toy Story 1-3: Our friendship will never die! Don’t you see it’s our destiny?
Toy Story 4: Our friendship never meant anything and it’s now my destiny to leave the friends I’ve managed to keep together for years
Toy Story may have been the end of the andy years but it should’ve been the complete end of the series, period. Someday we’ll end up getting a sequel about the toys being placed in a museum because humans only use AI gener*ted ‘toys’ by 2050.
