Credit: Inside the MagicThe holiday rush has descended on the Walt Disney World Resort. The wait times are up, which means that the prices for Disney World’s Lightning Lane passes are through the roof.
However, those seeking a respite from the crushing crowds and long lines will be sorely disappointed. Earlier this week, we reported that Disney World’s pricey Lightning Lane Premier Pass has nearly sold out for the entire week.
The pass, which costs $429 per person at Magic Kingdom, is completely sold out on November 23 and 24. For Magic Kingdom, it’s sold out from November 22 to 27.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the only park that has its Lightning Lane Premier Pass available for this weekend, which says more about the park than the pass itself. After Thanksgiving, the crowds ease, and all of the Parks have their Lightning Lane passes available.
However, Disney’s priciest passes aren’t the only ones that are selling out. Disney World’s individual Lightning Lane passes are nearly sold out for next week as well.
Disney’s Individual Lightning Lane passes are available to skip the line at one ride per day. Those rides are: Tron Lightcycle/Run, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and Avatar Flight of Passage.
Here’s a look at what Individual Lightning Lane Passes are available for the next week:
November 22- Only Avatar Flight of Passage is Available
November 23- None available
November 24- None available and EPCOT’s Lightning Lane Multipass is sold out
November 25- Only Avatar Flight of Passage is Available
November 26- Only Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind is Available
November 27- Thanksgiving- Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind and Avatar Flight of Passage are Available
November 28- Black Friday- Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and Avatar Flight of Passage are available.
November 29- All Individual Lightning Lane Passes are Available
Based on the availability of these passes, expect large crowds leading up to Thanksgiving, but once the holiday arrives, the crowds appear to calm down somewhat. However, that could also mean that guests who are arriving on Thanksgiving just haven’t purchased their passes yet.
Either way, the crowds have arrived at Disney World, and they probably won’t be leaving until after Christmas.
