It’s turning into “The Tragic Kingdom”…

Given the current state of affairs, at home, and abroad, this should be a big mystery. People, visitors and employees both are stressed, in despair, and that shows up mentally and physically. We’re just grabbing for headlines here by trying to link it to Disney World somehow.

    1. I was thinking the same thing. They want to be where they were happy. Some of the older folks who died were probably thinking “one last trip” not knowing it would be their actual last trip. I know that Disney has made me happy for years. But, being a former cast member, I would not ruin others’ trips by purposefully killing myself at the property. That’s just not fair.

      1. We love Disney

My husband grandfather was told by his Dr, and everyone not to take the planned family trip. He did it anyway. I believe he was 70 and he was battling cancer and had survived 2 heart attacks etc. He made it to Disney and just outside of Florida on the way home he died suddenly on the ride. Florida was his happy place from what I was told, he loved everything Disney and made trips there with the family yearly. He lived with his daughter vs on his own just so he could use his retirement money and such to take the family to his 2nd home.

Unfortunately aside from the 2 suicides, all the others appear to be a case of someone having a medical emergency. Pending the announcement of what happened to the cast member 4 of them could have happened anywhere. They just happened to be visiting WDW when the grim reaper showed up.

People die surprisingly you don’t here more with a place that large with that many people

It is so sad that 7 people passed away at the “Most happiest magical place”. Prayers for their families.
Let’s hope no more deaths, or Disney will be called the “un-luckiest place on earth.

Wow aren’t you a clever one! Probably at the head of your kindergarten class…good for you!

      1. Cheryl

        Don’t be rude.

      2. Mimic

And you were probably just a ray of sunshine in your class, werent you? Good for you!!! >:/
Let them voice their thoughts and prayers, they are being kind. Stop being a jerk for no reason, it gets you nowhere.

Aww aren’t you 2 so sensitive and clearly not that bright. It went right over your head why he said that and had nothing to do with thoughts and prayers. Plus 7 people out of 50 million people that visit every year, I’d say do the math but not sure you’d understand that.

People have bee getting hurt and even killed at Disney since the 70s and some was never reported .Looks like Disney is cursed

Its every themepark around the world only its left private so families dont have to read about it constantly until you get idiots like these “content creators” who think is news.

With the stated number of people that visit Disney World in a year, of course you’re going to have deaths, natural or otherwise. It reflects what is happening on an everyday basis in our society. Just because you’re at Disney World doesn’t mean you’re in an impenetrable bubble and all the medical problems that people bring with them or the types of violence that occur elsewhere will not happen in Disney World. To report every time that a death occurs is doing nothing more than taking away from the happy times and memories created when visiting Disney World. Why make a big issue about it, death it is a fact of life. To try to sensationalize is not required.

    1. Beth W.

Thank you Gary. My sentiments exactly. And if they keep reporting deaths, I’m sure the number will grow each year, just like the population continues to grow, and visitors to the world’s Happiest Place continue to grow. No sensationalism is required.

    2. When l was injured on 10/12/2925 !
all Disney cared about was cleaning up the blood , taking my sneaker away and giving me a 50.00 certificate to buy some new shoes ! Couldn’t have a guest with bloody shoes walking around !
First cast member at the scene was useless. She watched me bled and handed me paper towels till the ambulance showed up !! Even though a nurse my daughter kept asking for towels and ice NOTHING from the Disney worker. Plus no crowd control.

People don’t question when people that die on a cruises. You have to understand that for some people that is a lot of walking people do at Disney. Your put on 8 to 15 miles a day that they may not do at home every. Now you are on the go the whole time none stop. That is a lot of stress on some people without taking a day break in the middle to rest. Just because they are only there for a short time. They are trying to get the most in possible with the least amount of time.

“Matthew Cohn died by suicide after falling from Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.”
You don’t just fall to commit suicide you step off something you jump of something. You don’t just fall. A fall would say accidental.

Disney is becoming the deadliest place on earth. Walt would be appalled.

  10. Darlene

Disney is being cursed….remove the evil details in Disney and realize what Walt really focused on…..get back to the good instead of evil…..check out your bible and compare it to what you are doing.
