Even as out of staters, were Annual pass holders at WDW for almost 30 years. We dropped that a couple of years ago mostly because the changes weren’t interesting to us, and also because the parks are no longer “for all ages” as WE age. Paying extra and needing to worry about park passes and fast pass plus etc. etc. etc. killed it for us aging DVCers. We now go to stay at our resorts and skip the parks completely. Do we miss it? Yes, a little, but mostly we miss specific experiences like dining at Teppan Edo etc. and also that true “Disney” experience that seems to be missing the past few years.
Sad that Disney charges an arm snd and a leg for a less than magical experience. Parks are torn up, guests are rude, have zero class. Cast members lack magic. I have lost faith in Disney’s magic.
It is sad that prices are getting outrageous and that your average family can’t afford to go or go in debt to go. It is no longer a park for all ages. This is just to top Universal and your bottom line. This is not what Walt would have wanted. Also, seniors love Disney but how about a discount for them. They are the ones who kept visiting early on

So true, we feel the same way you do. We enjoy the resorts now and skip parks and we live in Florida about 30 minutes from Disney.
