It has long been the feeling of my family that WDW provides a ton of excellent security at the entrance to their parks. They use the latest technology and are super at responding in an emergency. However, we always note that once inside the parks or anywhere at their resorts, they have little or no security. Fights last for long minutes, theft, goes on (especially since they got cheap and took away package to room service), Also it seems like the security that does respond to these incidents are not prepared to deal with them, they are just kids, or older people who are more qualified to check a locked gate.

Disney spends a lot of resources on security. They move a lot of people around the properties every day. They cant always control the behavior of guests.

Fort Wilderness Resort & Spa? Better tell Disney because they don’t have it listed on their website. Campground and Cabins, yes; Spa, no.

Every story that mentions a posting on X is followed by (formally known as Twitter). But you never say, Port Orleans (formally known as Dixie Landings) or Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (formally known as Splash Mountain) or The Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover (formerly known as Wedway Peoplemover). Why? Are you making a sad and weird political statement?

Is it really a crime wave or is it that we now have the means and technology to report more of what is happening. Disney has always been a magnet for auto burglaries. Also when you get thousands of people gathered in almost what you would call a small city you are going to get unruly people and medical emergencies.
It’s just never been reported before because of the lack of cell phones, police scanners and social media.

What you are seeing is just a new era. For decades Disney kept crime on the downlow as far as reporting to thr public. It was always an ongoing conspiracy that people don’t die on Disney property, which they did. But Disney had a team that kept thise stories out of the news foe fear of bad PR in a place meant to be a symbol of happiness. Now with cellphone cameras and instant access to the net, guests can report instances quicker than Disney executives can cover them up so they have no choice but to release information now. Even though they still try to downplay situations and execute damage control as much as possible
